Project Overview
Birmingham City University (BCU) partnered with Consult Base Global to host their first virtual STEM 4 All Summit on March 8th, 2021. The event aimed to empower and inspire STEM students by showcasing the diversity and opportunities within the industry.
The Challenge
BCU sought to transition their traditional on-campus STEM summit into a dynamic virtual experience accessible to all students. The goal was to deliver engaging content, highlight industry diversity, and enhance student confidence and career readiness in STEM fields.

Strategy & Planning
CBG collaborated closely with BCU to plan and execute a comprehensive strategy for the STEM 4 All Summit.
Branding & Coordination
- Branding: CBG crafted a unique event brand, including logo design, color palette selection, and font styles, reflecting the vibrancy and inclusivity of STEM 4 All.
- Social Media Management: Our team managed the social media platforms, creating engaging content, posting event updates, and driving online engagement to maximize event visibility.
- Marketing Plan: We developed a targeted marketing plan, defining messaging, tone, and channels to attract a diverse range of STEM students to the virtual summit.
Speaker & Sponsor Relations
- Speaker curation: Leveraging the BCU network, we secured keynote speakers and panelists representing women in STEM, recent graduates in industry roles, and leading employers, ensuring a well-rounded lineup of diverse perspectives.
Audio & Visual Production
- Event Structure & Logistics: CBG organized the virtual summit schedule and logistics, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for attendees.
Audiovisual - Enhancements: Our team managed high-quality audiovisual production, incorporating professional lighting, camera setups, and stage design to elevate the virtual presentation.

Result & Impact
The STEM 4 All Summit was a transformative event for BCU’s STEM community:
- Engagement Metrics: Over 80 BCU students attended the virtual summit, with high levels of interaction and participation throughout the event.
- Post-Event Impact Report: CBG compiled an Impact Report summarizing key insights and feedback from attendees, highlighting the summit’s success in boosting student confidence and awareness of STEM career opportunities.
